About
Gallery Gallery is a project by artists and curators Albena Baeva and Rene Beekman, which started life as part of the wrong biennale in 2019.
Gallery Gallery is the first and only gallery in Bulgaria that exclusively focuses on digital art.
Gallery Gallery operates two spaces. Our router-based space is dedicated to browser-based art forms, while Ploshtadka (Bulgarian for playground, a landing site, or a construction site) shows sculpture in Augmented Reality (AR). Both spaces are open non-stop, but only if you are at the gallery's physical location.
Gallery Gallery shows both Bulgarian and international artists, including Julianne Aguilar, Zara Alexandrova and Zoran Georgiev, Albena Baeva, Diana Boneva, Petya Boyukova, Alka Cappellazzo, Kalina Dimitrova, Stefan Donchev, Damian T. Dziwis, Marina Genova, Diana Ivanova, Marco Kempf, Antoniya Koleva - Nitra, Lucas LaRochelle, Dirk Paesmans, Desislava Petkova and Silvia Cherneva, Kathi Schulz, Dagmar Schürrer, Boris Shershenkov, Igor Štromajer with Sakrowski, Tabitha Swanson, Daniel Szalai, Krassimir Terziev, Moisés Horta Valenzuela, and Simon Zimmermann.
Gallery Gallery accepts proposals for solo or group exhibitions on an ongoing basis. We are open to all types of work that make use of or otherwise address or critique our unique virtual spaces.
