Biography
Kalina Dimitrova was born in 1975 in Gabrovo. In 2001 she graduated in Mural Painting at the National Academy of Arts, Sofia. She lives and works in Sofia. Her solo exhibitions include Biophilia, Credo Bonum Gallery, Sofia, 2020; Hidden Life, Gallery Gallery, Sofia, 2020; More and more new water flows into that which have already flowed into the same rivers, +359 Gallery, Sofia, 2018; The Last 5 Years, Vaska Emanouilova Gallery, Sofia, 2010. About
In my work I try to visualise the human relations expressed through objects viewed from certain perspective, as well as create objects that contain the residue of human relations from near or distant past. I work with photography, sculpture, objects and installations. For each project I choose the media that could express the balance between idea and materiality.
