About
ONE Gallery was opened in May 2015 by the gallerists Desislava Zafirova (then Moneva), Valentin Monev and Stephen Stoyanov in the atrium of Serdika Offices. From its beginning, the gallery cultivates a highly focused program with an emphasis on new sculpture, minimalism, chromatics, shape and tension.
In November 2017, ONE Gallery made further expansion with the opening of its new and the present space, while the management remained in the hands of Desislava Zafirova and Valentin Monev. With one of the biggest exhibition spaces in Sofia, it is located at the corner of “Ivan Vazov” street and “6th of September.” The space of the gallery is housed in a 20th-century building in the former military printing house in the center of Sofia and was designed by architect Georgi Ovcharov.
ONE Gallery has a selection of Bulgarian and international artists from emerging and established careers. The goal of its year-long program is to identify the present and to develop the world's concerns through art and its various means. The gallery supports Bulgarian contemporary art by participating in international art fairs such as Contemporary Istanbul, Istanbul and COSMOSCOW, Moscow, where it has been taking part for a fourth year in a row. In addition, over the years, ONE Gallery has built a collection of works, which continues to expand and enrich to this day.
