Biography

Svilen Stefanov (b. 1966 in Sofia) is artist, art historian, art critic and curator. Lives and works in Sofia. Education: 1980-1985 – High-School of Fine Arts, Sofia; 1987-1992 - National Art Academy, Sofia; 1997 – Ph.D. National Art Academy, Sofia; 2006 – D. SC., National Art Academy, Sofia. Occupations: Professor, D. SC. of History of XX c. Art at the National Academy of Art, Sofia. From 2008 to 2015 he is Vice-rector at the National Academy of Art, Sofia.
