Georgi Yamaliev

Biography 

Georgi Yamaliev was born in 1978 in Yambol. He lives and works in Sofia, Bulgaria. Georgi Yamaliev received his art education in the field of art pedagogy as a bachelor and a master's degree in Contemporary Arts, as well as in Semiotics of Arts at Sofia University. Seven times participant in the Sofia Underground International Performance Art Festival and twice in the Water Tower International Art Festival. He is also part of the selection of M-tel awards for Contemporary Bulgarian Art in 2009 in Varna curated by Irina Batkova. In 2013, he presented a solo exhibition CENSORED at Credo Bonum Gallery curated by Svetlana Kuyumdzhieva. He has participated in various group international exhibitions and art festivals in Bulgaria, Germany, Slovakia, Romania and Morocco.


About

An artist whose interests are mainly in the field of contemporary art - art installations, art performance and new media. His creative persuits relate to the problems, achievements, relationships and challenges in the virtual world and emerging technologies, as well as the social and interpersonal relationships in the new, increasingly globalized world.
