About

DOMA Art Foundation works with contemporary culture, art, and urban development provokes cultural exchange and interaction between local and foreign partners through the production of various events in the field: exhibitions, festivals, exchange programs, discussion forums, and others. The foundation works with projects both in the country and abroad, presenting Bulgarian art, artists and opportunities for communication and exchange between the various scenes with the aim of popularizing Bulgarian art abroad and contemporary cultural content in Bulgaria, thus creating new cultural connections and future prospects.

Among the projects is the platform for exchange and cooperation between young artists and specialists in the field of culture and art in the Balkan countries "NEXT Balkan", consisting of a series of exhibition events with accompanying programs, such as talks, forums and exchange of practices. Its purpose is to promote opportunities for cooperation between countries; project for a cultural "KvARTal" of Sofia and the adjoining "KvARTal Festival", "Shared Quarter streets" - streets for the people, without car traffic with a city for the people; "Sofia Art Tours", "Art Kompas" - a platform for decentralization of contemporary cultural content in regional centers and cities in Bulgaria, DOMA Art Fest, and others.

DOMA partners with institutions such as the Ministry of Culture, the State Cultural Institute under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sofia Municipality, the National Art Gallery, where the retrospective exhibition of the famous Bulgarian-Italian artist Alzek Misheff was organized, the Sofia City Art Gallery, various cultural centers and embassies , galleries, spaces from the independent scene, art factories, etc. In 2013, together with four Korean artists, four sculptures were made for the public art space, which were donated to Sofia Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and installed in the city of Sofia. In 2016, "Forbes Bulgaria" awarded DOMA in the "30 under 30" contest, in the "Art, Culture and Media" category. In 2017, DOMA's activities were selected by the Bulgarian magazine "Capital" in the contest for young business leaders. NEXT Generation".
