Biography
Yavor Kostadinov (b.1993 Plovdiv, Bulgaria). He graduated the National Academy of Art, in Sofia (2018). In 2015 he studied in Accademia di belle arti di Brera in Milan, Italy. Currently he is a PhD student at NAA Sofia – Art studies and Visual arts program. 2019 – 2021 he was an asst. lecturer in Painting, in the „Textile – art and design“ department at NAA. He works in Plovdiv and Sofia, Bulgaria.

About
Yavor Kostadinov works mainly in the field of painting and drawing. He likes to explore the different possibilities of suggestion of the medium, which reflects in his works, some of which have a sharp and expressive character, while in others he seeks a more minimal, monochrome and synthesized approach. He works with the absurd, the grotesque sometimes combined with the ridiculous, often borrowing elements from reality, different dreams or associations of his, which he interprets in his own specific way. He also experiments with printmaking, digital print, objects, sculptural shapes, video and photography.
